Xavier Prida Riba

Xavier is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in England and Wales and a Mexican Qualified Lawyer, specialising in TMT law. He has extensive experience in film and television financing and deal structuring, advising clients across the full content lifecycle, from script to screen. He also advises on matters at the intersection of data protection, artificial intelligence and intellectual property within the creative industries.

With experience in both in-house and advisory roles, Xavier brings practical industry knowledge to his commercial law practice. He previously served as Legal Counsel for Red Bull Mexico and as Legal Director for the digital arm of one of the world’s largest Spanish-language broadcasters.  

In these roles, he structured and negotiated complex international licensing and co-financing agreements with leading OTT platforms, and secured strategic partnerships with major global media companies and studios in North and Latin America, the UK, and the EU. Throughout his career, he has specialised in the convergence of content, technology, and law, advising on how creative projects are financed, produced, protected, and distributed globally.

Xavier has a strong international academic background, and speaks English, Spanish and French. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with Merit in TMT Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
