Joanna Coombs-Huang

Joanna is a UK qualified lawyer at Preiskel & Co who specialises in international commercial contracts, international telecommunications regulatory advice, and data protection.

She also has experience with coordinating and providing advice on international regulatory licensing for MNO, MVNO and providers of IoT services. Joanna’s experience includes contractual wholesale of connectivity and numbering service agreement reviews and negotiations. This is alongside advisory expertise regarding the UK communications compliance with Ofcom’s General Conditions of Entitlement to industry bodies.

In the TMT sector Joanna has been significantly involved in advising the Qatar Ministry of Communications on Internet of Things and MVNO Licensing. As well as advising the Falkland Islands in the amending of their Communications Ordinance and their licensing provisions for connectivity infrastructure and access via commercial investments.

Joanna has extensive experience with commercial contracts such as SaaS, MSAs, reseller and distribution, licensing, sponsorship, and data protection agreements. Including large scale data mapping and policy strategic development for company data protection compliance.

Joanna has a strong international academic background. She holds an Honours degree in Political Science and Classics from Queens University Canada, followed by a law degree in the UK and the University of Law LPC MSc with Distinction. She also has a Certificat de Langue Franҫaise from the Université de la Sorbonne.

Joanna speaks English and French.
